Album of the Day Review (4/3/2014): Atlas by Parkway Drive

Band: Parkway Drive
Genre: Metalcore
Album Number: 4
Release Date: October 2012
Label: Resist, Epitaph
Length of Album: 48:06
Before Listening: I have never been that big of a PARKWAY DRIVE fan, but I have heard a lot of good things about them. I looked up some reviews on their other albums and I see a lot of positive reviews.

Review: Overall I liked this album. It made me want to listen to some more PARKWAY DRIVE. But to me there are not a lot of songs that stand out in this album. It is not a bad album I would just like a different tone every now and then. Maybe there was a different tone in the songs and I didn't here. But this wont be the last time I listened to this album, that is for sure. It is still a good album and worth a listen to before you buy.

Rating: 7.5/10

Album of the Day Review (4/2/2014): The Sinister Urge by Rob Zombie

Band: Rob Zombie
Album: The Sinister Urge
Genre: Alternative/Heavy Metal
Release Date: November 2001
Label: Geffen
Album Number: 2
Length of Album: 39:31
Review: There is a reason Rob Zombie is still doing what he is doing. This is a solid Zombie album that all fans of his love; this album was voted as the fan favorite album in 2012. But for those who are not sold on Zombie this could be a good album for you to start on. Not only does this album have great song that a lot of people know by him, such as Speeding Demon, Dead Girl Superstar, Feel so Numb, and House of 1000 Corpses (Which soon becomes a movie with the same name). It has a lot of great songs that will grow on you on the first listen through. And with that song Iron Head with guest Ozzy Osbourne doing vocals on the song with Rob Zombie is a mix up that works so well; makes that album just that much better. It is a must have in any one's Metal collection.

Rating: 9/10
