Album Review: Itheist by ITHEIST

Album: Itheist
Release Date: June 21 2019
Label: Self Release
Genre: Extreme Metal

The album has a great mixture of clean and heavy sounds. Have some every technical parts to some of the songs. I do enjoy a lot of the guitar work in this album.

After the opening song, Outcast (That didn't really do anything for me), the album has my three favorite songs:

Mighty Father of Rebellion
Guardian of Baphomet
Belial Unbound

I feel that a lot of the guitar work sounds amazing on these three songs. And they are faster than the opening song. Which you can listen to the song Guardian of Baphomet at THIS LOCATION. Let me know what you think of the song. That song has to be my favorite out of the three.

After the song Horned One (Not my favorite) that album as four more amazing songs. But the stand out song on this half to me is Neter Amon. And the album ends on a good note with Suffering in Existence.

I would like to point out that normal I am not that big of a fan of Extreme Metal music. But I really enjoyed this album. Only two songs that I did not enjoy off this album Outcast and Horned One. But with this being the bands depute album; I really can not wait to see what comes next for this band.

More Information:

The band was previously named Aetherium Mors, and after completing a full length album in 2011 (Drenched in Victorious Blood) and a follow-up E.P. (released in 2014 by U.S. label Eihwaz Recordings), the decision was made to rename the band Itheist to align with the evolution and refinement of both lyrics and music.
