Danish Blackgaze Powerhouse MØL Reissue Their First Two EPs as One Package

Holy Roar take great pride in announcing the reissue of MØL’s first two EP’s, I and II on June 7th 2019, accentuating the formative years of one of Denmark’s brightest lights in metal.

Where debut LP JORD fully fleshed out their shoegaze-meets-black metal formula to masterful effect, these two early releases showcase the band in a much more raw and unfiltered environment. Not to be confused as lesser-than material or relegated to subpar, I and II both simmer and boil between the ethereal and the vicious. Choice tracks such as ‘Airy’ and ‘Kathexis’present this dichotomy in dizzying fashion, the later pulling deftly from My Bloody Valentine and Drop Nineteens just as much as Altar of Plagues orDeafheaven.

Remastered and repackaged, MØL’s I and II are given a new life entirely. The hybrid of black metal and shoegaze has never sounded quite as spellbinding or masterful as it does in MØL’s case.

After a busy year following the release of their debut album in 2018, MØLhave spent their time relentlessly touring, gigging and playing to festival audiences, including supporting Ghost Bath across Europe and more recently with an incredible appearance at the Gaffa Awards in Denmark. Now the band are set to tour Europe with Rivers of Nihil and Black Crown Initiate. The tour will start with a run of German dates in September, and end in October with a show in Belgium.

Dates are as follows:
0.09.19 Germany, Berlin – Cassiopeia
21.09.19 Germany, Leipzig – Felsenkeller

MUSKET HAWK formed from the ashes of A WARM GUN in 2011. After self-producing a series of demos, the band’s debut full-length The Form of Disgust was released via SMS Records in November 2013. Since then, MUSKET HAWK has released a live demo and a 7” split with Philadelphia’s SUNBURSTER (May 2015, Unholy Anarchy Records).

MUSKET HAWK play a killer live set, sharing the stage with the likes of WINDHAND, CHURCH OF MISERY, NOISEM, MASAKARI and PRIMATIVE MAN, to name a few. The band continues to refine and explore the depths of extreme music, and in conspiracy with Unholy Anarchy Records (Baltimore, MD) and Goodtimes Records (Australia), offer up their long awaited sophomore effort, Desolate.
